OUR MISSION

Dear Community Member,

  For the past 20 years I have had the privilege to work alongside Rabbi Yehuda Azrad and his amazing organization in Israel called Carmei Hair. This is a unique organization that assists thousands of families with the basic food necessities. One of the most important projects of the year is assisting these families for all their needs for the Passover Holiday.

  We all know that Israel has been suffering dramatically since the events of October 7th. What many don’t realize is that while most people are getting their lives back in order the lives of many families and those of soldiers and reservists will never be the same. As a result, there are thousands of additional families living at or below poverty line in Israel and struggling to put food on the table.

  Rabbi Azrad had identified many of these families and had added them to the already extensive list to feed for the Passover holiday. Our great community can easily achieve the goal of feeding 5,000 families for Pesach. All it would take is for each and every one of us to participate $180 feeds a family for the entire holiday including all the necessities for Seder. That means you, our community members, have the ability to feed anywhere from one to dozens of families in Israel this Passover.

  We are currently launching the Syrian Community Mission where we have partnered with dozens of synagogues and yeshivot in the community under the leadership of our rabbinical leaders. We hope that this effort and show of unity will have great success and will ease the burden on the families for the holiday.

 When we approach you in the synagogue or by phone or by this letter you are receiving, we would greatly appreciate your most generous pledge in order to assist our brothers in Israel and allow them to have the proper Passover holiday that they truly deserve. We hope and pray that through this tremendous hessed you and your family will be blessed with good health and great prosperity, and we pray that hashem will end this war and we will see the coming of mashiach very soon. Amen!
